Our balcony is one of area in our home which we go to EVERYDAY. Reason being, we do our laundry here. Probably because we are a family of 4, we have to do laundry everyday. Since it's gonna be a chore, we decided to add pop of colours here to brighten up the mood of whoever is doing the laundry. We use a retractable hanging rack for our laundry. As we have a dryer, we don't see the need to get a rack with any additional function. In fact, we like how we can retract the rack when it is not in use. All our miscellaneous cleaning solutions and stuff are kept in this small cabinet, which we got from IKEA. The colour matches the table and chair set perfectly! We also have this small trolley that can be tucked in the corner. Power points are installed here because we love the idea of having bbq at the balcony and we probably need electricity for the appliances. Because we use Ziptrak, which is actually permeable, for our balcony, the area does get wet during heavy downpour. Hence, we decided to place our washer and dryer in our kitchen. With sg weather getting erratic, I think it's good to own a dryer! We no longer have to worry about our laundry during monsoon season! This is the top view from our master bedroom. The balcony is quite spacious. Apart from it being a laundry area, our kids also use the balcony for water play! We are so blessed to have a balcony big enough for this.
