We sealed up the old toilet and kitchen entrance to create more space for our kitchen cabinets and fridge. This added more flow to the house and was one of our proudest takeaways from the reno. We were also able to benefit from having a long kitchen island at 2.1m in length. From food preparation to cooking, the island also served as our central gathering space when we host our family and friends. We opted to have an open niche at the corner of the kitchen island for some added storage, since it was gonna be a ‘dead spot’. Our little coffee bar where we savour our daily cuppa and make breakfast. Adding some cafe energy to our home kitchen :) We picked up pottery as a hobby to fight boredom during the pandemic, and we're glad our collection of handmade mugs and bowls finds its perfect place, otherwise an overlooked and underutilised corner.
