Living with Family
Our bedroom has a totally different vibe from the rest of the house. Think lighter wood tones, soft hues, and a resort-like feel. It’s our cozy retreat, designed for pure relaxation with little details that make all the difference.
Let’s dive into what makes this space so special!
To make the most of our space, we opted for an L-shaped wardrobe. A practical yet stylish solution to fit both his and hers essentials seamlessly. The layout lets us divide our storage efficiently while keeping everything organized and easy to reach.
We also made sure to create space inside for our backpacks and sling bags, so they stay neatly tucked away instead of piling up around the room. One compartment is specifically for next-day clothes after we’ve ironed them, making mornings smoother and more convenient. The rounded open shelf not only softens the overall look but also works as a handy spot for quick-access items like accessories or bedtime must-haves.
We designed this cutout nook as a smart alternative to a bedside table. It’s the perfect spot to place my phone, charge devices with the added double switch, and keep my Hydro Flask tumbler within reach for a sip during the night.
By integrating it into the wardrobe, we kept the space functional and streamlined without adding extra furniture.
This bedside table is all about function and simplicity while keeping things visually clean.
✔ Hidden Switch Placement – Positioned at the bottom to keep it out of sight, so the view stays uncluttered from the top and afar.
✔ Storage Drawer – Perfect for stashing bedtime essentials like hand cream, lip balm, and small personal items.
✔ Open Shelf Space – Great for keeping books, a small basket for miscellaneous items, or even a pair of neatly folded PJs for easy access.
✔ Charging Station – With the switch nearby, it’s a convenient spot to charge devices without visible cables running across the table.
✔ Multi-Purpose Surface – Whether it’s holding a bedside lamp, a glass of water, or a scented candle, it serves both practical and decorative purposes.
A simple piece that does more than meets the eye!
We chose this door color to seamlessly blend with the wall, creating a clean and cohesive look. The louvered design adds a nice touch, giving it a subtle yet stylish character.
To keep it low maintenance, we opted for a 0mm gap, which means:
✔ Lesser noise from outside, making the bedroom feel more peaceful
✔ Easy cleaning since there are no gaps or deep nooks to trap dust—just a simple wipe and it’s good as new
A balance of aesthetics, function, and practicality, just the way we like it!
And of course, our vanity area, which we’ve shared in a previous post! A cozy little nook that fits seamlessly into our space while keeping everything organized and functional.
That wraps up our bedroom tour, a space designed with comfort, functionality, and a resort-like vibe in mind. From the L-shaped wardrobe to the thoughtful cutout bedside nook, every detail was planned to maximize both style and practicality.
