Hi! We made 2 major home choices in order to ensure our home would be relatively easy to maintain and so far, it’s been working out for us!
First up and the most major! FLOORING We chose vinyl flooring for our entire house except for the toilets. Vinyl flooring is relatively low maintenance especially as our flooring is not very textured. The robot vacuum and mop can easily clean up any messes. We also like that if any area gets too damaged, it’s more likely that we are able to replace the affected area without drastic costs.

The vinyl flooring is also in the kitchen, and has held up to nearly daily cooking without any issues.

The second decision was the - KITCHEN BACKSPLASH On the recommendation of our ID, we decided to install Kompacplus for our kitchen countertop and also use the same material for our kitchen backsplash. Aside from an extremely sleek finish, the backsplash also has little to no join lines and easily wipes clean with just water and mild soap.

We were actually able to have our backsplash be 1 continuous piece, so the only join line we have is where the counter and backsplash meet.
