Welcome to Funchoys!
This is the entrance of our home.
Just sharing our fun choice of gate, customized from An digital lock. Yes, they do provide metal gates too.
Customized a seamless Matt black gate with no lock and no handle. Just a push and pull mechanism.
Gotten a concrete bench from HipVan for us and our guest to sit on while they wear their shoes.
And a trolley for our deliveries.
So before we head in, just to share with you all, this is the floor plan of our house.
Just sharing our fun choice of space planning in our layout.
As you can see, we hacked bedroom 3 into half to open our living space into one big rectangle.
Okay!
Now back to our home tour.
Open Sesame!
First sight that greets us after scanning our thumbprint on our fun choice of Kaadas digital lock from An Digital lock.
So this is what it looks like behind our door.
The general theme of the house is American Walnut with black lining.
So most of our carpentry and furniture are of American walnut and most of our fittings are in black / gun metal to fit the theme of the house.
Therefore, we wrapped our main door in American walnut.
The wall beside our entrance is where we place our sideboard to store our shoes, and a mirror to check ourselves before we leave house.
Dat curve...!!!
It was originally a structure beam across our living room.
Yup!
We lowered our ceiling and concealed it seamlessly by incorporating a curve.
Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the nicest house of them all?
All houses are nice.
No comparison.
We also did an LED strip across our living room under the curved beam for decorative purposes.
Our living room set up allows us to cater to bigger T.Vs if needed as our sofa is not backed against a wall. Therefore we can adjust the distance between the television and sofa freely and accordingly.
Add on a side table for snacks and drinks during a movie.
We really love how the afternoon sun enters our living room.
We decided to put some plants on our window settee.
We can sit to read a book or just relax and enjoy some music while baking in the gentle sun.
The bay window provides us with some storage too.
We did a low lying floating shelf under our TV.
So i guess this is counted as our TV console?
We placed some decorations, plants, clock, game consoles, etc.
We also did a LED strip underneath.
We chose this particular blinds whereby the top part is translucent and the bottom part is opaque.
And this blind can be adjusted, if we want the room to have more sunlight in, we just bring the top part down, if we want the room to be not so bring, we just bring the opaque part up.
This gives the perfect combination of blocking the glare for the computer monitor, yet still allowing sunlight to brighten the room in the day so we don't have to on the lights.
We knocked down the bedroom 2 walls to construct this display cabinet.
This display cabinet is strategically position away from the windows to prevent sun exposure.
We also reposition the room door.
Can you spot it?
This is the entry way to bedroom 2 and our master bedroom.
We wanted to have a fluted panel element somewhere in the house, and our ID cleverly integrated it into the hidden door of bed room 2.
So you must be wondering what is inside bedroom 2.
The answer is, its a plants room.
Bought a shelf from Mr Nanyang to put all the plants.
We organize all the plant stuff with trays and boxes and arrange them neatly at the bottom of the shelf.
So our kitchen is a little unconventional.
We make do without the overhead cabinetry and cooker hood.
So that we could achieve this 3 round lights aesthetics.
Also a curved pelmet to hide the pipes and all.
This is our common toilet.
Does it give you the beach villa vibes?
Fun choice of free standing basin, for our guest to wash their hands in style.
Its all about the toilet vibes.
This is our master bedroom.
Our orientation is a bit unconventional.
Yes, we chose to place our bed under the window.
This is the give the room the maximum space to look bigger.
We knocked down this wall and build a wardrobe inside the space.
And we also built a display cabinet, every girl's dream to have something like that to display their handbags.
This is our master bedroom toilet.
Seamless ambient light and full mirror across to make the toilet look bigger.
A cabinet under the sick for storing necessary toiletry stuff.
Simple service yard set up.
A shelf to put our rice, some pots and pans and laundry pods.
And a laundry basket.
Not forgetting our washing machine on the other side.
