This nursery/bedroom is more than just a place to sleep; it’s where stories come alive, tiny adventures unfold, and sweet memories are made.
From the soft, neutral tones that bring a sense of calm to the playful touches like her ride-on car and curated bookshelf, every detail was chosen with love. The custom neon sign adds a special glow, while the projector transforms the space into a cozy, movie-like haven, perfect for winding down with nursery rhymes or family movie nights.

I got this vintage-style ride-on car for the first birthday, and I’m absolutely obsessed with how it looks! It wasn’t easy finding something like this in Singapore, so I turned to Taobao for the perfect one.
Since she’s still too young to drive it herself, we use the remote control to steer her around. She loves the ride while we get to play chauffeur. One of my favorite features is the built-in Bluetooth speaker, so we can play her favorite songs while she cruises.
When she’s not in the mood to ride, the car has a rocking mode that gently moves forward and backward, giving her a cozy little motion experience. It even comes with a leather seat for added comfort and a tiny boot to stash her favorite toys.
It’s not just a toy, it’s a whole vibe!
Books are her absolute favorite, so finding the right bookshelf was a must. This one is just perfect as it holds plenty of books while keeping them all visible and accessible. Although it can layer up to two books per slot, I try not to overcrowd it so she can easily spot her favorites.
The best part is that it’s right at her level, making it simple for her to pick out the books she wants us to read or to flip through them on her own. It’s the perfect little setup to encourage her growing love for reading.
We have both day and night curtains in the room to adjust the lighting based on her needs. During the day, the sheer curtains let in natural light while keeping the space soft and cozy. When it’s time for a nap or a movie session, we close the night curtains to darken the room, creating the perfect setting for restful sleep or a cozy movie-like experience.
We kept one side of the wall empty so the projector can shine directly onto the plain surface, creating a simple yet cozy setup for watching her favorite shows. It’s perfect for winding down with nursery rhymes, cartoons, or even calming nature videos to help her relax before naps or bedtime.
Of course, we’re mindful of screen time, but this little home theatre setup has been a game-changer for movie nights and quiet moments. Sometimes, it’s just about creating the right vibes for a peaceful rest.
Right beneath the projector wall is her toy storage, and I love how functional it is. The storage bins keep her toys organized and within easy reach, making cleanup a breeze. What makes it even better is the connected plank that doubles as a small table, creating the perfect little nook for her activities.
There’s also a tiny chair where she can sit and play, draw, or simply flip through her books. It’s also a great spot to place her Montessori toys like her drums and xylophone, encouraging hands-on learning and creativity. As she grows older, this space can easily transition into a spot for writing and more structured activities, giving it a longer-lasting purpose beyond just toy storage.
Finally, her wardrobe and drawer setup is all about creating a space that grows with her. The lower height makes it easy for her to eventually pick out her own clothes, helping her feel more independent as she gets older.
I love having the drawers for all the folded clothes as everything stays organized and easy to find. The casement wardrobe is perfect for hanging her dresses and outerwear, giving her a bit of variety while keeping the space functional. It’s simple, practical, and set up to encourage her confidence in making choices.
This room blends comfort, play, and independence, designed to grow with her over time. From cozy movie nights to picking out her own clothes, it’s a space made for every stage. I’m so happy with how it turned out, and I hope it inspires others creating a little one’s room too.
