Hello and welcome to the inner sanctum!
Haha kidding, far from being mysterious and cryptic, we designed our master bedroom to be a place of calm openness. As such, colors were kept light and subtle curves make appearances.
A view from the other side of the bedroom from the entrance area.
We wanted a more polished finish, so cash was splashed on a built in headboard and side tables with drawers, complete with a full height feature wall at the side. The two hanging lamps add to my hotel room vibes aspirations š
Photo taken last Christmas time, hence the festive pillows š
A closer look at the curved feature wall and bedside table. These were designed to "hug" the bed for a cosy effect and to flow smoothly to the wardrobe area.
The bedside tables were sized to be proportional to the king bed, so that means plenty of space for devices, chargers, water bottles and random items here. Of course these were tidied away for this photo! š
The room extends to a balcony where we can enjoy the greenery, views and fresh air. The morning sun streams in every morning; look at the shadows and light!
Our cupboards have recessed handles instead of the usual protruding ones to keep things sleek. The recessed parts are laminated in black to be consistent with other black accents in the room.
A ceiling fan is such a lifesaver in hot weather! It cools the room evenly and doesn't take up floor space.
Our Fanco one here is sufficiently powerful that level two is enough for us most times.
The bedside lamp casting a orangey glow at night. This is great for saving my eyesight as I scroll my phone at night while the other person sleeps!
Alright, thanks for joining in this tour! Whatever color and size your own rooms are, may you have sweet dreams in them too!
