Our home is filled with different shades of white and we were worried that it may look too much like a “factory” or “showroom” so we wanted to add lots of floral and fauna around our house. Only problem was that we do not have green fingers and previously managed to kill even the hardiest plants.
To prevent ourselves from killing more plants, we decided to only buy faux plants and preserved flowers throughout our house. We were initially worried that faux plants would look too “fake” and will not create the look that we were expecting but it turned out really lifelike.
We added a huge preserved flower centerpiece on our dining table to make the space look less plain. This can also be changed easily according to seasons.
The focal point of our living room is definitely our arch display niche and we added a small vase of faux flowers at the top to create a contrast against our other decor items.
We also placed small pots of faux plants around our kitchen to create a contrast against our kitchen appliances and decor which are mostly white and off-white.
