Hello! Excited is being able to share our renders with yall! Today we’ll be quick-sharing on our MBR which took a 180-degree change, literally, from the renders.
During the rendering stage, we requested a mini walk-in wardrobe to segregate the dressing area and the sleeping area. This also means more privacy for the person preparing for work (but do we really need it? 😅) Most importantly, we believed it could reduce the disruptions to the person sleeping while another is preparing. We had this thought because we’re shift workers and sometimes, we sleep in the morning.
We also asked for black tinted glass for the bags and what-nots 😂 (of course at an additional cost of around $900)
Something that stuck with us was our favouriteeeee laminate - Mood Microcement, which you will see in the reality version.
Read on to see how our MBR changed!
Ta-da! In reality, our wardrobe took a 180-degree swap to the opposite!! It went from east to west and opened up the bedroom space, making it look so much airier! (Yay to being high floor which sends a lot of natural light into the room)
With this, we also didn’t have to worry about aircon airflow being blocked by the wardrobe.
By changing the position of our wardrobe, it opened up the space a lot, increased our wardrobe usable space (we extended the wardrobe length by around 20cm since it is now against the wall) and also improved the flow of our daily activities between the bathroom, wardrobe and bed. The extra space also allows our daughter to crash in our bedroom with us 😂
This layout reduced a lot of considerations for future usage. We think it’s simple and good!
Of course, when we collected our keys and saw that our bedroom was quite bright, we decided on the above layout!
As to why we decided against the black tinted glass, it was to keep things minimal and hide any mess.
This in turn gave us a more dedicated concealed vanity area as well ;)
We hope you enjoyed our MBR transformation ^.^
