  • Hello hello from @chanceuponchanshome !! Taking this great opportunity to share our renders which are not really talked about! Shown here is our final rendering; we will share our previous renders at the end of the post! This is a rendering of our MBR bathroom which we decided to overlay because we wanted our MBR and guest bathroom to have different vibes. Some unique features of our MBR bathroom are erecting a full height wall and having darker floor tiles.
  • We chose dark grey floor tiles because we want to create a dark, luxurious vibe. The pattern (white streaks) also resembles a marbling pattern and we love it! Marble patterns tend to exude luxury! We kept the other tiles simple and selected what caught our eyes quickly. Mostly, our tiles are a little textured to generate a “cave-like” environment.
  • If you notice, we only managed to have one niche on the toilet bowl side. During renovation, our tiler advised that having a double niche here is pretty pointless, and reduces the stability of our full height wall. All our niches’ positions and dimensions are given by us! (Will share it another time 😅) Another difference is the half wall depth. It was rendered to be around 30cm but built at 39cm because of our unexpected toilet trap distance 😭😭😭 this also caused the niche to become more squarish. Lastly, our wall is full height and doesn’t have a space for the acrylic panels because we’re on the top floor. More cost for tiling and building the wall 😅

Our first ever toilet rendering! Glossy, cream marble wall tiles with a shower glass (without door for budget friendliness) This rendering really didn’t sit well with me. (Because we really liked the marble and cream look!) According to my ID, don’t choose overly patterned tiles because it might look slightly messy when pieced together, unless you’re going for that outlook and aesthetics!

In our next rendering prior to reselecting the tiles, we added in a settee because we were considering between that and a tiled bathtub. We were quite fickle minded but luckily this was months before we got our keys and our ID was ever so patient with us!

Next, we have a simple rendering of our guest bathroom, where we built a half wall to cater to our suspended toilet bowl. Also a shower glass to make the space look clean and airy. In this rendering, a customised vanity is shown but we decided to buy it from Taobao instead. 😳
  • For the vanity we bought a customised L-shaped one from Taobao, with an integrated sink. This full set at 140cm long easily costs less than the 70cm sintered stone countertop from an ID. 😂 but of course the risks were extremely high… How do you think we did for both toilets? Do they look different despite the similar colour theme? Share with us in the comments or on ig! @chanceuponchanshome ❤️❤️❤️

Hi! Love your toilet looks! For the vanity with integrated sink, was it easy for the id/contractor/plumber to install?

@newbieteoh hi! Thank you for your kind comment :) I got my vanity from Taobao, just need to ensure that the mounting racks are sufficiently provided. We had to get our own. Installation was pretty easy, basically they just mount on the rack and silicon onto the wall for extra support. Before purchase do confirm with ID/plumber. Ours was a 20cm L shape mounting rack. Hope this helps :)

Hi! I used cainiao (which is Taobao shipping), and subsequently letaotao because the first one came damaged!
