Last post of the series - have not been posting for a bit wanted to create a post for a room tour!
I wanted my room to reflect my life and personality. A market theme it is, to be as lively as the famers and grocery markets. Ryoko also means travel or journey, and aren’t we all journeying through life? :)
The music lounge: the corner you’ve been seeing in many of my posts!
Inspired by vinyls cafes, this is also my chill corner. Added a small lamp for some cosy vibes too!
The rest area: my bed! love how the room matches with the po-Ong blanket collection from bodyluv! Added pots of plants around the area for more gardening vibes.
I also got some crates from aykasa because they resemble the crates you see at supermarkets! I wanted more colors in the room and the crates perfect blend in.
The art gallery: i love collecting postcards and art pieces from my travels and putting them up of the wall. This is also my vanity area, reimagined because i did not want it to look like typical vanity areas with mirrors and many storage boxes. The wooden cabinet was inspired by cafes and bakeries display shelf!
The workspace: this place is intentionally kept minimal so I can focus with my work 😂 I also used a cork board to pin some of my favourite finds and to create a mini vision board.
Rather than choosing a theme for your house before starting on the design, I would recommend identifying what’s important and what represents you instead.
