Welcome to the study room in our home, otherwise also known as the Mr’s man cave! 🦹🏻♂️
Since it’s his man cave, I have tasked him to write the rest of this post, so please enjoy as the Mr brings you through this space 😆
This work setup has been used by the Mr for a couple of years and it’s his precious handiwork which he assembled everything (including the PC) from scratch!
So instead of getting a whole new set up, we decided to simply bring it over from our parents’ place when we were shifting our things! BUT WHOA the amount of effort to wrap the table and safely secure it whilst being transported WAS NOT AN EASY FEAT 🥲
During the day, we typically keep the blinds up to allow natural sunlight to enter!
And when the sun sets along the horizon, darkness seeps onto this earth, we will draw the blinds down to allow increased privacy and elevated focus 👀
The desk is also intentionally placed according to Feng Shui, where it takes the command position of the room 💪🏻
AND YES, it is a standing desk as well! It has a control panel by the side to adjust to the suitable heights that we want so that we can both use the desktop.
The standing desk function is especially practical
after a super heavy meal OR when feeling unfit 😂
This is also the room where I get to display some sentimental items without clashing with the rest of the house aesthetics, which will otherwise be rejected by the wifey HAHA 😅
Last but not least, this lion statue.
In many cultures, lions represents strength, bravery and majesty. In our minds, we thought having a lion statue (which was a gift) would bring about more of such traits within us.
HOWEVER, to our shocking surprise, our Feng Shui master said it has little to zero effect on anything at all…
As such, it has officially turned into a glorified paperweight 🫡
