Our foyer is a simple one with no built-in carpentry. It is arguably the least aesthetic area of our home and one which we neglected slightly. We did not opt for any renovation work as the idea of an open and airy entryway appealed to us. We decided to utilize two IKEA shoe cabinets to organize our footwear.

We installed some DIY door seals below our main door and it has worked its magic. We are proud to announce that our home is cockroach and lizard free thus far! Having stayed here for about two years now, we now see the benefits of having built-in carpentry for the foyer. We are planning to build a floor to ceiling shoe cabinet along with a settee and a mirror in 2025. We look forward to sharing the finished article with you!
