Welcome to our little plant corner, a cozy nook that breathes life into our Japandi-inspired home. With its warm woody elements and clean, minimalist aesthetic, plants feel like an absolute must-have to bring softness and vibrancy to the space. When we first moved in, our home was brimming with plants of all shapes and sizes. It felt like a mini indoor garden. But as time passed, nature had its own plans. As we also insist not to have fake plants. So some plants didn’t quite thrive due to limited sunlight, while others fell victim to unexpected insect invasions. Through it all, a few green warriors stood strong, and we’re so proud of them.

The crown jewel of our collection is undoubtedly our Ever-Fresh plant. It’s been with us since it was just a little sprout in a small pot, and now it stands tall at an impressive 1.8 meters. Its journey hasn’t been easy, we’ve repotted it more times than we can remember, each time carefully nursing it back to health after fending off insect attacks. But every bit of effort was worth it. The way its feathery leaves sway gently with the breeze brings an undeniable softness to our living space, almost as if it’s breathing alongside us.

Next to our coffee bar, you’ll spot our statement piece — a big, bold Monstera. There’s something so satisfying about having a large plant beside the bar. It’s a visual anchor that makes the space feel alive and intentional. We’ve found ourselves moving it around from time to time, chasing that perfect patch of sunlight to keep its lush leaves looking their best. It’s a reminder that even our plants, like us, need a little change of scenery now and then.

Then there’s the service yard , a space that’s seen its fair share of plant battles. It’s near the window, which means it gets the best sunlight in the house, but it’s also a hotspot for insects. At one point, we had quite a collection of plants here, but only a few hardy survivors remain. These resilient few stand as a testament to the unpredictability of plant care and the patience it demands. Despite the challenges, they’ve stayed with us, bringing a quiet, enduring beauty to the space.

Caring for plants is never a straight path. It’s a journey of trial, error, and small triumphs. Each leaf, each stem tells a story of persistence and growth. Our little plant corner isn’t as full as it once was, but it’s filled with heart. Every plant here has earned its place, and together, they make our home feel more alive than ever.
