Entering into our intimate space, our master bedroom. We have incorporated the same simplicity and minimalist dark theme from our living room. Here is where our cats always invade and intrude whenever we keep the bedroom doors open!
Our adorable cats do not sleep with us at night to avoid disturbing each other's deep sleep and there may be little accidents after visiting the litter box. They have a dedicated bedroom just for them, curated like a mini playground with the fundamental cat supplies and cctv cameras.
The secret to our comforting deep slumber is our blackout curtain, the most critical and essential piece in our bedroom that is drawn every night before sleep to reduce any source of light. Needless to say, we have chosen the colour black to suit the theme of our bedroom.
The second most important element in our bedroom is the wardrobe niche to place our phones and charge other electronic devices. We have incorporated textured grey laminate to distinguish from the rest of the wardrobe.
We often play the nintendo switch on the device at night rather than playing it on the television. Hence, it is with us in our bedroom. Any pokemon fans here?
Nights are in, curtains are drawn, we switch on our wardrobe niche built-in strip warm light enhancing the comforting calm ambience to get ready for the night.
A wide angle showcasing our wardrobe niche, with our bedroom lights on too. Our king sized bed is on a floating black leather bed frame; placed against the wall, facing away from the door, and beside the wardrobe niche serving as a bedside table.
We have experience sleeping with dark bedsheets when we were younger and they truly aren't the best colour to sleep in because it absorbs the heat of our country's humidity that sweats us up at night. In our own home, we know we are gonna go with the lightest colour possible, White, that is still within our bedroom's theme, monochrome.
Underneath our floating bed frame hides a motion sensor light that allows us to navigate to our bathroom without struggles if we were to wake up in the middle of the night.
