Before we moved in, the master bedroom was the one we looked forward to the most. Yet, this is probably the room we spend the least time in. Because, well, kids.
We wanted it to be all oak and sand, so that nothing is too over stimulating. Can you tell we're both introverts? Coincidentally, the bedsheet set we got is also from a company called Oak & Sand - they feel wonderful to the touch and their service is top-notch. We got another set from the trendy Sojao - which we will showcase another time!
The blackout curtains from Everyday Curtains are in dove grey, and they do a great job in blocking out the light entirely for sensitive sleepers.
Our wardrobe is minimalist to be easy on the eye, as it directly faces our bed. There are no details, but ample storage within for our clothes, accessories and keepsakes.
We actually pushed this wall in towards the bedroom to create a bigger bathroom. Fortunately, there's space enough to put this chest of drawers. We usually leave our watches and accessories here the minute we're home.
Super love our Stackers in Oatmeal, and how customisable it is for individual needs.
The only pop of colour in the room is at the dressing table nook. We used this pastel paper flower garland from Meri-Meri , and there's also some faux lavender to create a soothing vibe.
This is how we pushed out a section of the wall to simultaneously create a large space to accommodate a bathroom sink and a cosy nook for the dressing table.
This also created enough wall space to accommodate a sliding door.
This large sink area has been pivotal in our daily wind-down routine, allow us to wash up in comfort. The large mirrored cabinet stores our beauty essentials, while the open ledge keeps everyday products handy.
Meanwhile, the faux plant from HOOGA keeps the area looking fresh and lively. We find that the faux flower and plant selection from HOOGA are of great quality - you can barely tell they're not real.
We kept the master bathroom in the same soothing palette so that we will feel relaxed the minute we step in to start our evening routine.
No regrets hacking half a wall down to create a large bathroom! The spaciousness melts our stresses away.
Winding down in the evenings with blackout curtains, a cosy nightlight, and a good book. We love having our master bedroom at the back of the house for total privacy and quietness!
And that's all for our master bedroom - goodnight!
