Hello everyone, welcome to our living room tour! This space is connected to our kitchen and dining room.
And yes, if you guys did notice, we finally got a sofa! Mr decided to get a sofa because he says he is getting older and sitting on those chairs previously hurt his back. HAHAHA!
Oh, and the IKEA shelves under the window was a miraculously find! We measured the bottom of the window space and went hunting at Ikea and found one that fit this space perfectly. Our boardgames are kept here so that when our friends come over, they can easily find the games here.
We decided to opt for no tv, no carpentry in this area of the living room. No tv because we hardly watch local shows now and more of Netflix, Disney+, etc.
No carpentry will also mean that we get the freedom to shift our carpentry whenever we want, wherever we want. We're also very happy that we are able to have this corner for our living room and it's really all thanks to our ID's help!
The 2 capybaras were given by Mr's aunty, aren't they cute? Also, Lucky the Singapura Otter was given to us by Creamier when we engaged them for our wedding.
This sofa set we got, the Flow XL 4-piece Modular Sectional sofa is indeed, very comfortable but sadly, Noa Homes are no longer operating in Singapore anymore! Thankfully we bought this before they close down.
This projector we got, the AURO V2 Home Cinema Projector - the quality to be honest is really not that bad. It's quite clear for us and the sound system comes from the system itself. Clear and crisp.
So we actually have a projector screen that we projected previously when our chairs were facing the museum room. But after the sofa came, we decided it was a better option to cast it on the wall and put the sofa at the current position. Thankfully, we didn't paint the walls other colour if not, we wouldn't be able to cast it on the wall.
Mr has been craving to get a KTV system for a while now cause he has been singing Jay Chou at home and now finally, he got it! This space is definitely a work in progress because we are looking into getting a table/counter for it.
Oh, and the good thing about these, Jazpiper and Switch is that it can be connected to the Lumos projector!
This is how our living room looks like in the night and sometimes, we actually don't even turn on the light in the living room so that we can watch the show in the dark. We usually turn the led light on at the dining area instead. It is actually really cosy.
We hope this will inspire any one of you if you're looking into a carpentry and tv free living room! Stay tuned for more post about the other spaces!
