Recco #1 Dishwasher: There are days when we just don't have any more energy to wash the dishes after spending much time and effort in preparing the meal, or when we are just "not feeling it". On days like this, a dishwasher comes in really handy as we can just "throw" all the dirty dishes into it, and expect clean shiny tablewares 3 hours later! Yes it does take awhile for the dishes to be cleaned but you gain extra time to rest/ do other things instead, and using the dishwasher is known to actually be more water efficient than cleaning the dishes manually under running water. Recco #2 Induction hob: Initially we did not have strong opinions between choosing an induction vis-a-vis a gas hob. However, one year into using an induction hob, it is a "yes" for us! Other than its sleek look, the maintenance is really low - after heavy cooking, we can easily clean the stove with just a piece of cloth and cleaning spray. Back in our own homes where we use the gas stove, the cleaning was really a chore! So this is seriously one of the best home decision ever!

Recco #3 Ceiling fan: Also another must have for our kitchen! The kitchen can get really hot and stuffy while we are cooking and so having a ceiling fan really helps to ventilate the area and cool ourselves down. While we have top cabinets on one side of the kitchen for storage space, we opted for open shelves on the opposite side for a more spacious look.

A close up on our kitchen sink and tap - we actually purchased it from Taobao and thankfully it arrived in good condition and fits nicely into the sink area! Some of our favourite functions of this kitchen sink set: 1) Pull out tap with different spray functions for easy cleaning 2) There's a different water spray outlet for washing vegetables/ fruits 3) Can also fit chopping board and separate removable small sinks at the latch areas 4) Cup water spray - we use this whenever we want a quick wash of our cups 5) Honeycomb design for scratchproof reasons!
