Cai Tou is here to breakdown the estimated costs: - furnitures (including assembling and deliveries) total about $9k with the mattress and sofa taking the bulk of it at $3k and $2k respectively. - appliances and miscellaneous decor items total about $3.5k (our fridge was hand me down so it’s free and didn’t include that inside). - balcony decking and grilles total $2.5k. - repainting of house once in 2021 was $800. - selling off of old furnitures on carousell, profit of about $1.5k. So after adding all the costs and deducting the profit from sales, our home “reno” costs was about $14.3k or less than $15k hahaha. Not bad right?✨

Managed to keep the costs very low because our home came ready with these: - flooring all done (parquet flooring for bedrooms and tiles for everywhere else) - carpentry (bedrooms, kitchen and toilets) - both toilets fully furnished (bowls, sinks, showers) - kitchen fully furnished (stove, hob, sinks, gas water heater, and clothes drying rack) - air con units (1 big long one for living room and 3 normal size ones for the bedrooms)

Hope this has been helpful and shows that you don’t have to do everything in one go. You can also sell off old furniture to offset the cost of new ones.😉👍🏻 That’s all we have for this post. Thanks for reading again hehe!🫶🏻
