This is where all the good food (and late-night snacks) happen! We wanted a dining area that feels cozy, blends well with the kitchen, and works for both everyday meals and guests. Loving how the warm wood tones and curved edges make the space feel soft and inviting.
Went for a travertine look top with wooden legs to blend with the rest of the house and I love how it turned out! The 1.6m length is perfect, fits 2 on each side comfortably, 3 if needed, and we can still squeeze in a stool at the end when more guests come over. A cozy but flexible setup for everyday meals and gatherings!
Decided to go with a bench for one side of the dining table instead of chairs and I’m so glad we did! It makes the space feel more open and less cluttered, plus it’s more flexible for seating which is perfect for when we have guests over. The design also ties in beautifully with the rest of our home keeping that warm and cohesive wood tone.
Another bonus? It tucks neatly under the table when not in use which is a big plus for maximizing space.
Chose these curved dining chairs with fabric upholstery to add a soft and cozy touch to our dining space. The curves make the chairs feel more inviting while also complementing the organic flow of our home. Comfort was a big factor in this decision and the cushioned seat with the gentle backrest makes it perfect for long conversations over meals.
The warm wood frame ties in beautifully with the rest of our space while the textured fabric adds a subtle contrast. Love how they balance aesthetics and comfort without feeling too bulky. Would you go for fabric dining chairs or do you prefer something easier to maintain?
Who isn’t worried about spills and stains on fabric chairs? With a little one at home I knew these would be put to the test so I made sure to spray them with a waterproof protector before using them. And look at that liquid just beads up instead of soaking in!
This small step gives me peace of mind while still allowing us to have the cozy textured look we wanted for the dining space. Cleaning up is as easy as dabbing spills away before they get absorbed.
This ceramic tissue holder might be a small piece but it adds such a nice touch to the dining table. The curved design fits right into our home’s aesthetic, bringing in a soft, organic feel that complements the rest of the space. I love how something as simple as a tissue holder can feel intentional and blend seamlessly with the overall look.
It’s also sturdy, easy to clean, and a much prettier alternative to regular tissue boxes.
Of course a high chair is a must for my little one. I wanted something that blends well with our home so wood was the obvious choice. It fits right into our dining space and doesn’t feel out of place like most plastic high chairs.
The removable tray makes it super convenient and what I love most is that this chair isn’t just for the baby phase. As she grows we can adjust the seat and footrest so it transitions into a regular chair that she can use for years. Functional long lasting and aesthetically pleasing, definitely a win for us.
Of course the dining space wouldn’t be complete without a wabi-sabi inspired light. This pendant light isn’t just about illumination, it’s a statement piece that adds character to the space. The organic shape and unique form bring in that effortless charm that blends perfectly with our home’s aesthetic.
It’s also tricolor, allowing me to switch between warm, neutral, and cool lighting depending on the mood. And let me tell you, it’s bright. No dim glow here, just the right amount of brightness for meals, gatherings, or even when we need extra light for the space. Love how it floats above the table, making everything feel cohesive.
That’s a wrap on our dining space. A mix of comfort, functionality, and pieces that fit right into our home’s aesthetic. From everyday meals to hosting guests, this spot is ready for all the little moments that make a house feel like home.
