For our cozy corner, we iterated over a while. Our current approach is to stagger items creating visual layers vs sticking everything against the walls.
We loved the idea of keeping this wall mounted lamp against a piece of the wall of a similar dimension. It makes it feel like it was picked for this reason.
The shelving below provided an opportunity to create a natural shelving system with the piece of window sill above, making it a 2 shelves of sorts.
Some comfy materials are a must! Linen sofa material and this thickly knitted throw go well together.
Another "Blanket" for our cozy corner :)
Adding books and accessories directly on the ground was a nice addition as it provides interesting elements to look at along different "horizons" for the eye. Its not the typical table / sofa/ shelf height, and its an opportunity to add smaller pieces interesting to us
This small little stand was handmade as a hobby project by Cynthia, we keep a small plant and a marshall speaker for the living room on it :) We specifically chose Pink and Brown as colors that complement the plants and chair greens around it.
As you may have noticed, the dominant color of our living room is yellow. Though it wasnt intentional at first, we naturally gravitated towards collecting pieces of this color, and chose to double down and make it the primary color.
