Welcome to Oldbutnewkallang! Why that name, you must be thinking? So 'Bahru' in malay means new and we're located at Kallang Bahru. However this estate is already half a century old. Hence the name suggests. This is a 3 room resale flat, sizing at 699 sqft. What you're looking at is actually what used to be a common bedroom. Lucky for us, the layout of this house is as what we already wanted. This is to make our living space bigger, more spacious for hosting and of cos a space dedicated for working from home. We both didn't like the idea of having a TV , therefore we opted for a projector instead to watch our dramas, UFC and whatnot. This is also the reason why the furnitures are arranged as such because that wall was plastered before to give it a smooth surface for projection. The other wall are actually textured, old building quirks which we love as well. As 1 of us WFH on most days, it's always important to position the table whereby there is enough sunlight coming in. This is the other side of the living room where we display our love/collection items and of cos have our meals. The display shelf is the only built-in we have and it's custom built by our friends over at @snugwoodwork , go check them out. This space was originally the living room space of this flat, but we've turned it into a living cum dining space for us.
