  • Welcome to my living space, once again. While the sofa was gifted by my mum, I definitely would have been willing to spend 2K on this sofa. 1.5 years in and I don't regret choosing this sofa. As big loungers, we have spent many hours on our sofa watching movies and playing games. We love how it's not too soft and not too hard.
  • Our 2 cats also frequently lounge on the sofa as well. There was a time in the beginning when my first cat would scratch the sofa when she was a kitten. She has stopped since, but we have found the covers to be rather sturdy as it didn't fray - akin to a mix of corduroy and suede which is the perfect material for homes with felines.

Moshi loves loafing on the backrest. Although, I must add that the only con I have found with this sofa is that the top of the backrest did protrude out backwards over time. While I was able to eventually push it back forward, it still does have a tiny bit of protrusion.

One more thing that sets this sofa out from the rest is the hidden storage! With not much built-ins in our home, furniture doubling up as storage is so useful to have.

Another great feature about this sofa is the ability to have the covers removed and washed. I recently had the covers washed after 1.5 years 😅Needless to say, I'll be increasing the washing frequency to every 6 months - 1 year. There was so much crusty dust as I didn't really vacuum the sofa throughout, partly because of how heavy the entire sofa is. Despite being modular, which meant that I was able to reconfigure the sofas around, realistically, we probably would never do so, but I love having the option.

Another con I may add is that although the idea of having removable covers seems like an easy thing, it actually isn't as straight forward as stripping all the covers off like you would a bedsheet. What I had to do was to disconnect all the sofas from one another - making it separate sofas, remove the seat cover, lift the backrest to remove the cover and maneuver the seat (with things still in the storage) and remove the bottom seat cover. It definitely is still an easier option rather than hiring a professional cleaner to do so and is still a cheaper alternative. Despite some of the cons, I would still buy my sofa again. In future, I may also consider changing out the covers into another colour once I get bored with beige 😝
