Styling open kitchen shelves can add a stylish and functional element to your kitchen decor. Here are our top Five tips to help you make the most of your open shelves: 1) Consider the colour scheme - Think about the colour scheme of your kitchen and choose items that complement it. You can use a cohesive colour palette to tie everything together. 2) Mix functional and decorative items - Open shelves are not just for display. They can also be practical storage. Mix functional items like plates, glasses and cookware with decorative pieces like artwork, vases and plants.
3) Use varied heights and shapes - Create visual interest by varying the heights and shapes of the items you place on the shelves. Tall items like glass jars or pitchers can be balanced with shorter items like bowls, books or a stack of coaster.
