Hello from @sofeehee, Season 7 Ambassador of the HipVan Community!
Today we're excited to share our home with a virtual housewarming and house tour! This is our 5-room BTO (113 sqm), and the overall renovation theme is minimalist style.
Welcome to the living room! We didn't hack any walls for extra space or build any dividers. We decided to keep the original layout, which gives the living room a spacious feel.

Next, here's the dining area, located right beside the living room. We positioned the dining table in the same direction as the sofa, allowing us to watch TV whether seated on the sofa or at the dining chairs.
Our project includes full floor and wall finishes, which are non-optional. We decided to keep the floor and wall tiles provided by HDB to minimize renovation costs and focus on more valuable priorities for us.
We opted for a smart home system, allowing us to control all electrical devices. We installed an iPad at the entrance wall area for easy operation. Additionally, we chose automation features so that all movements are detected by sensors, turning devices on automatically.
Since we retained the floor and wall finishes provided by HDB, which are dark brown and grey, we chose bright, neutral wall paint and cabinet colors to complement them. We selected black electrical appliances to create a contrasting look.
In comparison to our spacious living room, the kitchen is smaller, and there is no service yard for laundry. We opted for an open-concept kitchen without a separate door, creating a more spacious and minimalist design while remaining functional and practical.
