Living room is the rudimentary space in our home is accessible to guests as most of the entertainment happens here.
Hence this is the living space to display not only our creativity and artistry but foremost making it engaging and cozy for our guests to feel home. 🥰
It was a culculated decision for us to do away with an existing TV console that was retrofitted initially when we got our home.
The previous owner had a built-in console along the common window and the spot where the TV is placed is always under the ray of sunlight. Its an absolute no-go for the electronics.
Secondly, we decided not to hack down the wall that is adjacent to the study room, thus converting the space for dining.
With the given space, we decided to use hydraulic brackets to mount the TV on the cornerwall. Zai had to do some re-wiring works from the main power points.
We bought reinforced shelves from @ikeasingapore, cut it to sizes and turn it into a functional console racks for the entertainment and sound systems.
We are glad with the initiatives and never felt more ease with the ergonomic space put to a good use.
Pegboard. It is versatile and can be used in every part of your home. It is the most easiest and affordable way to create additional storage, keep things organised in small area.
Since we spent most time in our living room, we need an area where we can charge our phone and keep extra accessories. (P.s. Our previous owner install power points at every part of our home and we so glad that they did that)
Hence we decided to place a pegboard above our sofa where it hold all of our charger wires, tablet, watches for easy access, convenient and a sleek look.
