Step into our master bedroom, a scantuary of sorts for unwinding and chilling, well mostly before the arrival of the little one. It’s where we spent our nights watching Netflix and weekend mornings having breakfast in bed.
We wanted our MBR to exude a tranquil calm. Hence we opted to have a tropical themed wallpaper installed from Hello Circus. It is actually their jungle themed wallpaper, but we asked them to do without the monkeys 🤣
The super comfortable bedsheets here are from
Sunday Bedding. Honestly, once we discovered Sunday Bedding’s bamboo sheets, it has been a game changer as their sheets are cooling and we no longer have to toss and turn in bed at night from the heat and warmth of the sheets.
Alternatively, we also have bedsheets from Akemiuchi, which are thick and comforting. The wall lamps are from Shopee, storage bed from Addin and rattan bedside tables are from Taobao.
We did not opt for shaker cabinetry for the built-in wardrobes in order to save money, as we already had those for our kitchen. We got our golden door knobs and handles from Taobao and Shopee. The timber flooring is HDB’s flooring and we decided not to change it as it looks quite nice.
There is a small awkward window on the other side of the master bedroom. Since we are unable to extend the length of the wardrobe due to this window , we decided to place a dresser aka chest of drawers from
Ikea underneath the window instead. This is where we store baby items at the moment.
Lastly, instead of the traditional door stopper [which isn’t as effective], we got this type of soft fuzzy door stopper which is hung on the door handle. This prevents us and the baby from being unnecessarily startled by slamming doors on a windy day!
