We use a single large format tiles throughout both bathroom and only added a neutral toned feature wall for the top of our master bathroom wall. This makes it easier for cleanup as large format tiles has less grout lines and the small feature tiles at the top is less likely to be stained compared to tiles at commonly used areas.

For our common bathroom, there is a dark grey wall to wall window at the top which does not match our interior design, thus our ID recommended a wall to wall mirror with removable fluted panels at the top to hide the window but at the same time allow for ventilation.

We love that the neutral colored large format wall tiles makes our small bathroom look much wider than it actually is.
We also built a small ledge in our bathroom to house our toiletries and this helps to keep our toiletries away from the basin countertop which tends to get wet more easily.
