The kitchen is where a lot of prep work for meals happen and there are always things that will be lying around in the aftermath so I tend to leave things around. I decided to purchase some interested fittings from Ikea to make sure utensils are within reach and that also blend together in a seamless style.
As you would be able to tell, many of the fittings are made of stainless steel and this was done intentionally so that the look is cohesive and everything looks like they belong together. The stainless steel textures also complement the warm wood tones of the kitchen cabinetry. These fittings from Ikea were added in post renovation and I found the space between the cabinetry and the white tiles perfect to drill these in.
Ikea is creative and functional at the same time. For example, I found the extendable green sink try a genius idea, as it provides a simple and inexpensive way to put damp brushes or drain your sponges without wetting the countertop.
