Original bare state of the house. We chose not to opt-in for any OCS so that we can choose everything from scratch to our liking. No floor tiles, doors, skirting, toilet fittings etc

We opted out to give ourselves the freedom to customise to our theme - Japandi and wabi-sabi Renovation journey - We approached both direct contractors and IDs to get a view of both options. After much thought we decided to go for an ID as this is our first renovation and could use the professional opinion. After meeting with 16 different IDs, we slowly had a clearer picture of how we want our house to look like. Thanks to the IDs that we met each time and shared with us their many wonderful ideas. Now that we have been living in our home for a little more than 3 months we still are very thankful for the smooth renovation journey we had. Our whole renovation took about 3 months.

Thank you HipVan for selecting us to be on this platform to share about our renovation journey and our humble adobe. Stay tuned for more post about our home. Thank you for stopping by. jco
