Hello everyone! Welcome to our most fond and biggest space of our home!
As we love to lay at home, we focus most of our requirements in the living room which suit our living lifestyle. We designed our living room in a modern Japan theme, giving a cozy and zen atmosphere.
In this place we could spend hours to relax, play and enjoy company with each other and friends!
This area also consist the dining space which was shared last week.
We overlayed two different vinyl to segregate the living and dining area.
Wooden vinyl from the living to the corridor, while the grey tone spreads from the dining to the kitchen.
Due to the thick trunking from the centralized cooling system, we box up the entire trunking and added aircon vent giving a seamless look.
It was a bold move, since there were many negative feedbacks from the system. Keeping our finger crossed until the day we decide to change.
Below the box up, we also filled it with built in cabinet and shelves, keeping the living area clutter-free at all times.
We added shoji door is placed to separate the living room and other bedrooms, to create Japanese ryokan aesthetic.
We opted a long 1.6m sofa from JB. It was another love at first sight for both of us. This sofa bring up the tone for the entire living space.
Our guest also love this sofa which some of our closest friends slept at in the midst of housewarming. 🤭
We got our TV console from Taobao which we took a huge amount of time sourcing for the right one to fit into our Japanese theme.
Thank goodness that this TV console came assembled, so 1 thing less to fixed!
Lastly, we recently added a flux plant and a bean bag to spruce up the living space which was empty for months.
That’s for now on our sharing of our living room! Thank you for taking the time to read our stories!
