    My home office is a space where I do my work on my laptop and on my crafting hobbies. This room was also our second common bedroom which we hacked down to create a more spacious space. In the beginning, the home office was an open space where I would be able to interact with my husband, wherever he may be - living room, kitchen, but after my two cats were growing up, as teenage cats, they were climbing all over, especially on my office IVAR shelf. I often would find my things being thrown to the ground, scratches on the shelf, a damaged insect mesh and many other damages 😢So, I had no choice but to conceal my office for my own sanity.

    The silverlining to this is that I have found this space size to be ideal and would probably consider have an entire wall to permanently enclose the office. I did thought of bifold glass doors but didn't go through with it due to the high cost. Instead, I got these wooden partition doors from Taobao. I chose this specific partition door due to how solid it is and would be able to withstand my teenage cats' antics. A regular door partition is quite wobbly and definitely would tumble down from the weight of my 5kg cat.

    You can see how thick it actually is! I guess the only con of this door I could think of is actually having to drag it open and close each time I enter. Although, I do find it a rather mild inconvenience versus having to deal with damaged things in my office.

    Because I had to downsize my office a little to accommodate the partition doors, I had to swap out for smaller tables. I work on my sewing, and crafts here.

    This is my main laptop work setup. I converted one part of my IVAR shelf into my office desk. I like how it takes up a small space as opposed to a regular desk and how it is integrated together with my shelf for storage.

    Overall, I don't regret purchasing this piece. I spent close to $200 for these three partition doors including sea shipping. Despite it being from Taobao, I find the quality pretty good and could definitely last for a long time.
