Hello! We have a cafe-theme 4room BTO and a customised wallpaper on our living room wall is probably one of the largest decorative item in our 93sqm flat. One of the ways we chose items to fit into the theme are the cushions in our living room. Here we have a Starbucks coffee cup cushion and a toast we named Toasty. It’s functional and decorative at the same time! Here’s another view of our customised wallpaper from wallhub. Fun fact: We got our initials on the teapots sitting on the shelf. Here’s the hubby’s clock which blends in nicely with the wallpaper. A clock may be a utility item but picking one that fits in the theme helps to elevate the aesthetics you are going for. Welcome to the dry kitchen which is literally where we head to at the start of each morning for a cup of coffee, tea and water. At the end of a busy day, it’s also where we wind down with a glass of wine or a snack. Your vertical spaces can serve as home decor too! On the doors of these cabinets, we have 2 framed cafe menu posters on 3M removable tapes to tie the home cafe theme together. A close up of our beverage station. The polar bear teapot and teacups series are from Starbucks Christmas collection a couple of seasons ago. These are the drinks-ware we use regularly but they are too adorable to keep behind doors, thus they now sit happily on the shelf as part of the home decor. On the right, there are 2 starbucks bears which are from blind boxes bought from Starbucks Malaysia on a trip we went with friends recently. These souvenirs we picked out which not only reminds us of the good times but also fit in the home cafe theme. 
This was an antique sewing machine from my maternal grandpa to my mum for her wedding (gift). Now it’s a refurbished table. The solid marble table top was part of an oval-shaped coffee table that accompanied me throughout my childhood (& early adult years) in the flat I’ve lived in since I was 5. It was laser cut and polished with round bevelled edges to fit the sewing machine stand. Now, this special piece sits outside our service yard as a table for folding laundry. It’s both home decor, a family heirloom and a utility table all rolled into one special piece! There are a few shelf-ies in our kitchen and this is one of my favourites! These are a couple of our cast iron pots we use regularly but are too pretty to sit behind doors, thus they serve as home decor pieces too! At the back, we have our thermo flask which stores our hot beverages during our afternoon tea sessions with friends in our home cafe. This shelf started out as a place to store our not-so-little cake stand but has since morphed into a full Hi-Tea setup with display cakes😂 But yes, they are used for actual tea parties 💗 One of our shelves in our living room displays our coffee table book of the moment. While the rest of our books sits behind doors, we love displaying and rotating the book that sits here. It also gives our guests easy access to browse through the book while lounging in the living room. If you have a book collection as well, you can curate a few and display as home decor pieces. 
On the top shelf of our living room display, we have upcycled one of our wedding faux flower decor pieces as home decor. It looks pretty and is a great memento from a very special day filled with ❤️ love. Not forgetting our home cafe theme, our little oven is meant to complement the little mouse chef hanging display we brought back from boutique fair last year. Or is it the other way around? 😆
