Bonjour! Here’s a sneak peek into our master bedroom’s vanity area. Our primary goal in designing the cabinets was to maximize wardrobe space while creating a stylish and functional vanity area. We wanted a dedicated space for makeup that felt cohesive with the overall design of the room.
Here’s a sketch from our carpenter. We envisioned a niche cutout (our vanity area) beside the bed to store all our essentials conveniently. This placement not only makes it easy to access items while getting ready but also ensures it’s integrated seamlessly into the room’s layout.
And here’s the final look! The niche turned out beautifully, and we love the rounded corners that add a seamless touch. We carefully measured the height to align perfectly with our bed, ensuring comfort while using the space. By opting for drawers instead of traditional doors, we maximized storage for makeup essentials, allowing for easy organization and accessibility.
Wondering where the mirror is?
We cleverly concealed it behind the door, maintaining a sleek exterior. This design choice not only keeps the area tidy but also allows for flexible use—whether you prefer standing or sitting on a stool. The hidden mirror creates a surprise element that makes the vanity feel like a thoughtful, well-integrated feature.
Check out the overall transformation!
One valuable tip we learned during the design process: it’s best not to run the air conditioning trunking inside the cabinetry. This precaution helps prevent potential issues like leaks, which is why our wardrobe is slightly shorter on the side near the toilet wall. Overall, this project taught us the importance of combining functionality with aesthetics to create a space that is both beautiful and practical.
