Hi everyone! I'm back with a new post, this time sharing my home renovation journey! I purchased a 39-year-old, 3-room resale flat in Tampines last year. While it wasn't in poor condition, it felt dated and lacked the warmth I craved. So, I embarked on a two-month renovation project to transform this space into a warm and cozy Japandi-inspired home. The first look above showcases the transformation of my living room! 
From fluorescent lights to cosy lighting, from cold grey floors to warm natural tones! 
My entry way was initially an awkward space beside the front door. By finding the right furnishing, this space was instantly transformed! 
This room was originally a child's bedroom. I transformed it into my study by removing one wall and replacing it with a set of sliding doors. (See my study room post for more details!) Inside, I transformed the space into a functional workspace using IKEA furnishings. Now, I can seamlessly transition between work and play at any time of the day! 
The original kitchen featured an L-shaped peninsula. However, I wanted to create a more open and spacious feel, so I opted for a galley-style kitchen instead. I love how the light flows through this space! After opening up the kitchen, the dining space felt larger and more airy! 
The old kitchen and laundry area featured black tiles and windows, creating a dark and somewhat oppressive atmosphere. I decided to completely overhaul this space, transforming it into a warm and inviting area! 
Originally, the master bedroom felt small and stark. I've always believed that a bedroom should be a sanctuary... I redesigned it to create a truly relaxing and rejuvenating space for rest! By hacking away the original storeroom, I could carve out more space in my bedroom. This allowed me to create a small yet functional walk-in wardrobe! I could even squeeze in a cosy vanity area! You can also see that I have changed the location of the bathroom doorway. 
The original bathroom was half the size it is now. Again, by stealing space from the storeroom that was removed, I was able to significantly increase the size of the bathroom as well!
