Welcome to a brand-new post, where we’re diving into the little details that make a big impact! We love a good aesthetic household find - things that don’t just look good but also transforms the way a space feels and adds purpose to the space itself. From the kitchen to the bedroom, we'll be taking you room by room, highlighting our favourite pieces that have elevated both style and function in our home.
Whether it’s a chic organiser that tames the clutter, a unique tissue box holder that effortlessly complements the decor, or a statement piece that adds character to the room, these finds show that even the smallest touches can elevate a space in unexpected ways. Let’s get started with the living room!
𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌
In the photo above, you’ll see a stack of books, but it’s actually a decorative box we use to store all the remotes in the living room.
It looks great, helps reduce visual clutter while keeping all our remotes in one place, and fits in perfectly with the decor! We've gotten so many compliments on it! We grabbed it from an online store last year, but unfortunately, it's already out of stock - we'd love to get another one for our home office!
Next up, let’s talk about the arched tissue box holder sitting on our TV console, right next to the remote control box.
We’re absolutely in love with this piece! It’s made of real stone, so it’s really heavy and feels solid. What we love most about it is that it turns a necessary (but usually not-so-pretty) item, like a tissue box, into something stylish. This one’s got a unique, almost sculptural look that stands out from the usual ones you find online. In fact, we love it so much we have two—one in the living room and another in the dining area. ♡
Speaking of turning something essential (but often unattractive) into something stylish, check out this next find!
It’s a wooden Wifi Porter that lets your guests connect to your home wifi with just a tap. Seriously, all they need to do is tap their phone on it, and they’re instantly connected—no more spelling out the wifi password every time! We’ve placed it in the space between our living and dining areas so guests can easily connect as soon as they step in. It’s such a sleek and convenient little gadget, and it adds a nice touch to the space too!
Still in the living room, our faux travertine coffee table is definitely one of our faves!
The soft, neutral colours blend perfectly with the rest of the decor, and the texture adds a nice contrast to the wooden pieces we have around. The round shape also complements the organic curves and shapes throughout the house. And of course, we love all the aesthetic finds displayed on the table too!
Moving on to the towering 2.5m faux eucalyptus tree in the corner of our living room—it really does wonders for the space!
Without it, the corner would feel pretty empty and a bit blah, but the giant greenery adds so much life and energy to the room. It brings in that natural vibe we love, making the whole space feel more full and inviting. To balance things out, we’ve also placed a couple of textured art pieces on the floor to fill up some of the negative space. It all just works together to create a more dynamic and cosy feel in the room!
Now let's move on to the entryway!
𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐘𝐖𝐀𝐘
This space has come a long way! The console table with its table lamp, decorative vases, and other bits and bobs really ties everything together. And, of course, we have a trio of large floor vases next to it, which we brought back from Bali 𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 (totally worth the travel memories!).
We absolutely love how this whole area turned out because aesthetically, it has so much more character now. Before, this space was completely empty, boring, and unattractive. But after putting everything together, it’s made such a difference—now, it actually feels like a welcoming part of the house instead of just a hallway!
𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌
Moving on to our dining room, the aesthetic household items that have really transformed this space are definitely these two art pieces.
One is a textured piece that reminds us of the cliffs and ocean in Bali, with beautiful brown tones that complement the dark wood in the room. The other is the large DIY fabric art we created, which now hangs proudly on the wall. YES! We did that ourselves!
It fills the large empty space perfectly, drawing the eye without overwhelming the room. The colours and tones are a perfect match for the space, and the texture adds depth and interest without being too much. Given its size, it really anchors the room, bringing everything together in a way that feels balanced and cohesive. And it adds a personal touch we're very proud of!
Let's head to the kitchen!
𝐊𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐍
Next up in the kitchen, these brushed gold wall sconces are definitely one of our best buys!
They not only fill the wall space outside our guest bathroom, but also add a stylish, decorative touch flanking the doors. The brushed gold perfectly complements the other accents in the kitchen, and the globe-shaped lamps tie in beautifully with the organic shapes around the house. What we love most is how practical they are – they’re USB rechargeable, remote-controlled, and offer various light warmth temperatures, so we can enjoy a cozy, warm glow when we just want to light up the space without using the ceiling lights. No messy trunking or switches needed!
Before we head upstairs, let’s make a stop at the one final room on level 1 – our 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘩 (prayer room).
𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐇
The highlight of this space is definitely the 𝘮𝘦𝘩𝘳𝘢𝘣, which helps guide our prayer direction. We purchased and customised it from a KL-based business, and its intricate islamic arabesque geometric design is something we’re really proud of. We worked closely with the designers to choose colours that would complement the overall aesthetic of the home. Standing at 1.5m high and 1.2m wide, it fills the space beautifully and truly defines the room’s purpose.
Without this piece, our 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘩 wouldn’t feel as complete – it’s exactly what the room needed to give it that meaningful and spiritual touch. The craftsmanship is just stunning, and every time we pray here, we’re reminded of how much thought and love went into creating a space that feels both functional and peaceful.
Alright, now let's head upstairs and to our master bedroom!
𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌
In our bedroom, these two ceiling pendant lights that hang from each side of our bed truly steal the show the minute you enter. We love them so much because they have this unstructured, organic shape that makes them so unique! Made from seagrass, they bring a different texture and natural element to the space, giving it that relaxed yet stylish vibe.
What's even more meaningful is that we purchased them in Bali and brought them home ourselves – it's one of those little travel finds that make the space feel more personal. And you wouldn't believe they were under SGD$25 each! They just go to show that style doesn't always have to come with a hefty price tag!
𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌
In the bathroom, we’re really loving these ribbed dispenser bottles! They’re such a unique and stylish touch, and the colours are perfect – they match the brown and neutral tones of our bathroom so well. We have one set in our master bathroom and another in our guest bathroom, and they’re just the right amount of detail that elevates the space without being too much. ♡
𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊-𝐈𝐍 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐄
And finally, our walk-in wardrobe! Here's something that really adds a special touch to the room – this suspended oval mirror in brushed gold.
It really elevates the space, acting as both a vanity mirror and adding a sleek, sophisticated vibe to the wardrobe. The brushed gold finish ties in perfectly with the other metallic accents around the house, and its unique, suspended design gives the wardrobe an elegant focal point. It’s one of those details that makes everyday dressing feel a little more luxurious!
