Finding a good spot for our Samsung washing machine and dryer was one of our biggest renovation headaches. This was because our odd layout, where it was impossible to fit any appliance in the narrow service yard. We wanted to create a beautiful consolidated laundry are, but it was just impossible. Still, we wanted both machines to be as near the service yard/ guest bathroom as possible for convenience's sake. As such, we nested them under a custom-made 1.1m tall counter right outside. With kids, we run the laundry daily. So practicality rules and accessibility is key - no need for cabinet doors to hide these already sleek-looking machines! 
The 3-D render. Our ID Rooot Studio has been great with the 3-D renders, providing prompt and accurate reflections that helped us visualise quickly how everything will look like. 
The layout of where the washer and dryer are positioned - it's right outside the service yard! These are our most hardworking home appliances! With two young kids, we have to do loads of laundry daily. From school uniforms, pjs, the occasional pee-stained underwear, vomit on clothes, towels after towels... Urgh. We got these Samsung Front Load Washer (8.5kg) and Heat Pump Dryer (9kg) from Audio House (lots of deals, quite reliable). We love the washer especially, because there is an AddWash function - a compartment for us to open and throw in any loose clothing that we'd forgotten AFTER the wash has started. Major tips for nesting your appliances under a wooden cabinet: 1) Ensure slightly more space so that the machines do not fit too tightly within. Besides ventilation purposes, this also helps if you need to replace the machine with another model next time. 2) We've heard of horror stories of flooding happening and ruining the wooden cabinet. We bought 2 roller trays from Lazada so that we can easily roll both machines out for cleaning and maintenance. SUPER IMPORTANT!!! Many have asked why we needed a Steigen even though we have a dryer and run it daily. Well, we have kids and are obsessed about keeping our bedsheets cleaned weekly! This Steigen is amazing as it extends and allows us to spread our bedsheets, large towels to dry easily. The heating function is also helpful for speedy drying. In our own BTO, we did not utilise the subpar provided laundry rack at all as we always have difficulty lowering it. No problems with the Steigen - all it needs is a push of a button! The light on it acts as a service yard light - so it's super convenient! Much love here. 
Look at how sleek it looks! We especially love how fuss-free the ordering and installation process was. We just made an appointment, a technician came down and measured the space accurately. We chose our model, paid up, and installation was arranged swiftly. All thumbs up! With these applicances, laundry has become less of a chore!
