We always knew we wanted to have plants in our home, but we had to be realistic about the maintenance. So, we decided to incorporate both real and fake plants. 😬🍃
It all began with a birthday gift I received, and from there, we continued to acquire more, finding perfect spots for each in our home. Featured here is the gift—a Swiss cheese plant! This is how it looked in June. In the subsequent pictures, you'll see how much it has grown. 😍
We utilized plants to enhance our TV console as well. Pictured here is another real plant.
Last but not least, we opted for the string of hearts for the guest bathroom, following recommendations from the nursery that it could survive with little to no sunlight. Spoiler alert: it withered after 2 months. 🥲
As I mentioned, low maintenance was a key consideration for choosing real plants, and these ones only need to be watered once a week. We simply shower them lightly and that's it. ☔️
That’s the Swiss cheese from earlier!
We also have some faux plants around the house to add color where possible. Here's one in our living pantry area, which I haven't had to think about since we bought it!
