Right before you enter our home, you will see this Chinese Hanging Knot on our front door! This front door is one of the favourite parts of our house by my husband. We kept the original HDB BTO door, and re-laminated it, and replaced the handle and digital locks. Gives off very classy vibes, in our opinion!
Right at the entryway shelves, we have a collection of handmade items or gifts here. The gray ceramic pot is something I made during a company team-bonding activity. The black pot is a handmade clay pot my neighbour made and gifted. The moroccan stained glass candle holder behind was thrifted. The tall candle behind was also a Christmas decor from years ago, and the bamboo plant is a freebie! We love meaningful little trinkets like these!
Chinese New Year decorations aren't complete without a prosperity plant. We kept it near the sun, and on top of a gold plate and our favourite multifunctional side table from Timber Actually.
No hosting is complete without a table set-up and hosting food! We bought the crackers and cheese from Hubers in Dempsey Hill - and we love arranging our own cheeseboards at home.

The blue plates are thrifted from a shop in Tampines, and the wine glass is from HipVan. We like using these blue plates as they have a slight chinoiserie feel to it, but because of the shade of blue, it could pass off as peranakan too. Very versatile!
To add a bit of festive joy, I used dried flowers and a table runner that we used during our wedding reception. The chopsticks are resting on top of adorable food chopstick holders!
