Hello everyone!
Welcome back to another post! This time we are featuring the entryway of our house! The first thing that we thought of when we are designing the entryway was to have a mirror so we can check ourselves before leaving the house. We love this irregular shape mirror which adds a touch of wabi-sabi in addition to our Japandi theme.
Another thing we thought was to have a space where we can put on our shoes before leaving the house which was why we decided to have a seat opposite the mirror.
Below the seat, there is also a drawer where we place our socks, super convenient for wearing shoes. We got to admit the seat width is a little small due to the structure of the house, but I guess we don’t need to sit there for long so it’s fine for us 😅
Next to the door, we created a niche where we can access the switches so we do not have to relocate the switch point. We have a pair of Shisa from Okinawa to guard off evil spirits 🤣
Finally, this is a reminder for you to create ample space for shoe storage. Our current shoe storage space is limited to the bottom half of the DB cabinet. We don’t have that many shoes so we can still deal with it thus far and we plan to utilise the space outside our house to put some shoes in the future.
Overall, we still love our entryway but these are lessons which you can takeaway from us :)
