Welcome to our dining area at @houseonredhill! This is the space where we spend most of our time - be it work, eating, chilling or hosting family and friends.

The main feature or centrepiece of our dining area is definitely the suar wooden slab table which comes with a matching wooden bench and 2 chairs. During our reno period, we spent the longest time searching for the perfect dining table and we actually got this from a store in JB - thewoodcolony.

We knew that we wanted a solid wood table that would last in many years to come. With textures and grains that are unique to every slab of wood, no two pieces are exactly the same!!
We also customized two additional dining chairs from taobao. We messaged the seller to ask for samples of fabric and to also customize the colour of the wood used for the wooden legs to match as closely to the dining chairs from thewoodcolony. Glad to say that the end product of the dining chairs from taobao complements our dining set :)

We also sourced for this wabi-sabi style pendant lights from taobao after getting inspired from a similar design we saw at a furniture showroom. We chose two different sizes for our lights to complete the wabi-sabi look :)
