Our dining area is comprised of a 1.6m sintered stone dining table, 2 comfortable chairs, a custom-made L-shaped settee, and the dining light (which really just functions as a deco). We shipped both the table and chairs from Taobao, which is at a fraction of a cost if we get them locally. (We saw a similar/same table being sold at S$2k+ at a local shop!) The settee functions as a storage space, as the side nearer to the blinds can be opened up from the top. We store some of our extra throws, pillow covers inside.
From another angle - the TV is situated largely to face the dining area, as our habit is to watch TV while we dine. Movie nights will be with our TV inside the bedrooom. This being said, as our living room is small, we are also able to enjoy the TV even while being seated on the sofa.

This is from another angle - the settee beside the entrance functions as a shoe storage, and a place to sit when we wear our shoes!
We are able to store 6-10 shoes each, plus a drawer to keep our furkid's leashes, wet wipes to wipe his paws when we come home from walks, as well as our socks.
