Hey there! We're so excited to share a little home update with you all. Our new console table from HipVan has arrived and found its home in this little corner by the stairs, and we had so much fun styling it to blend seamlessly with our modern organic theme. We're thrilled with how it turned out, and wanted to share how it all came together!
  • 𝟭. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: We began with a square textured art piece as an anchor to create visual interest and add depth to the area. The unique texture of the art instantly became a statement, giving the console table a foundation to build on. 𝟮. 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗩𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀: Next, we placed two textured vases in varying heights to introduce a sense of balance and dimension. The different sizes help create a dynamic visual flow while maintaining harmony in the design. 𝟯. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: We added a table lamp on the opposite end to balance the height of the tall vase. This helps create a more cohesive look, and the soft lighting from the lamp brings warmth to the space, complementing the textures around it. 𝟰. 𝗔𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵: As an additional decorative touch, we added a wooden book stand and a book to not only add personality but also ground the design, giving it a lived-in, curated feel. 𝟱. 𝗟𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲: We leaned a small rectangular frame against the textured art piece to add layering and create a more personalised, inviting vibe. 𝟲. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺: Underneath the console table, we added a footstool to balance the visual weight of the lamp. The stool we used introduces a textured element that contrasts nicely with the smooth surface of the console table. 𝟳. 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻: We added greenery to the tall vase to bring in an organic touch. Plants (even faux) always breathe life into a space and help soften the hard lines of furniture, making the space feel more alive and inviting. 𝟴. 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲: Finally, we added a group of three floor vases in different heights next to the console table to fill the space and balance the overall composition. The varying heights give the area a sense of height and rhythm, tying everything together beautifully. These vases were from Bali and we hand carried them on the plane!

Overall, the mix of natural textures, warm tones, and the touch of greenery brings life to the area. The different materials and elements encourage eye movement throughout the space, guiding you from one item to the next. It’s a blend of modern elegance and organic warmth, and we couldn't be happier with how this little corner turned out!

Every time we step into the house, we're immediately drawn to the console table by the stairs. It’s such a lovely visual when you first walk in, creating a warm, welcoming vibe that feels calming. We especially enjoy the view from the kitchen, looking out to the stairs—it’s one of those moments that just makes us appreciate how everything in the house comes together. Styling this little corner was such a joy, and we’re excited to share it with you, hoping it might inspire you to add a personal touch to your own space, too! Thank you for sharing our joy end excitement! ❤️
