Welcome to our master bedroom! We had pretty extensive works done in this room, although the main and most visible piece of built-in furniture is our wardrobe.
Our dresser came with an extendable L-shaped table, which we found to be a very smart and nifty way of making a dresser fit in corners and walls of almost any length quite seamlessly! Several of our friends have even asked if this was a custom piece.
Most of our other furniture were all bought from
Taobao, and self assembled. We were especially pleased that everything that we ordered was in quality solid wood, in a matching cherry wood tone that matched the warmth of our cream walls and marble floors.
I’m not sure about you guys, but one of the biggest struggles we faced with our MBR was the aircon trunking. Because we were not satisfied with the way the contractors had initially run the trunking, we requested that they did a complete rerouting of the pipes, which led to some delays in our works.
But after rounds of discussions with our ID, we found several aesthetic workarounds. One of the solutions was to design a fillet above the master bed, to match the rounded edges and curves around the house.
How did you guys deal with the trunking in your rooms? Share your ideas with us!
