Hello everyone, itβs me again! ππ» This week, I wanted to do a bit of a before and after in my shared rental flat and share with you how I styled my little space π€
When I first moved in, the place felt quite bare - but I saw lots of potential thanks to its clean and minimal furnishings. My bedroom came with just a queen bed and mattress, which means I had the space to decorate and make it my own cozy sanctuary π
In the bedroom, I added soft, pink bedding to bring in a pop of color. With a small space, I opted to use a sage green stackable stool to contrast with the pink sheets, giving a fun, yet cozy vibe π To make my bed extra fluffy like a cloud, I used a little trick: stuffing a king sized duvet in a queen sized cover πͺ
As a coffee lover, I absolutely had to have my Breville espresso machine with me βοΈ I originally wanted to have it in the kitchen, but as we had limited counter space for cooking and food prep, I decided to build a separate coffee corner instead π₯°
I ended up creating my coffee corner in the bedroom, right by the window where I get lots of beautiful light πͺ I brought in a white sideboard cabinet with ridges on the doors for added character, where I displayed my coffee machine and accessories as well as some other daily essentials βοΈ The plants by the windows add a bit of life and freshness, against the beautiful view of greenery outside π±
To really make the space feel like my own, I focused on adding touches that reflect my personality such as books, candles and little items that I love. These small additions make all the difference in creating a space that feels authentically yours, no matter how temporary it might be π₯Ή
