Similar to the rest of the house, we stripped/hacked the default BTO vinyl flooring and tiles, and laid 900x900 glazed porcelain tiles for the entire kitchen and dining area.
You’d also notice that the wall of the kitchen was not even; and there were a lot of awkward bumps, which we thought was really unsightly.
We evened out the awkward bumps, and built our carpentry such that they were all of the same width.
For the backsplash and countertop, we opted for Dekton, which not only looks luxe, but has proven to be very practical as well.
We decided to build more carpentry there to house our oven, and to have more countertop space for cooking. We also put in some bifold windows, which we can close to keep in the cooking smells!
