A peek into our cosy nook! Our master bedroom exudes a minimalist aesthetic with clean lines and soft neutral colour palette. Our ID managed to create a tatami-inspired platform bed with an L-shaped wardrobe to maximise space. Our L-shaped wardrobe (on the left) acts as a divider between our sleeping and wardrobe area. This design ensures that if one of us is still sleeping while the other needs to get ready for work, there won't be any disturbance. 😴 The overall design of our bedroom emphasizes on simplicity and functionality, ideal for relaxation and tranquility. 💤 Subtle ambient lighting on the stairs and headboard to create a warm, calming glow. 
We opted for storage only at the front of the bed and not directly below our bed, as we don't like the idea of having dust accumulating inside the hidden storage spaces. Cleaning is much more convenient when we have access to it. We store our winter clothings, bedsheets, and other random stuff we seldom use here! 
HipVanUnverifiedMi Smart Standing Fan 2 LiteS$55.00We placed a standing fan and air purifier a the foot of our bed. Standing fan over a built in fan so that we have the flexibility of moving it around. A built in fan at the corner may look aesthetically pleasing but we were not sure if the wind will be strong, so standing fan it is! Each step is around 18cm in height. All LED lights in our bedroom are in 3K. The headboard also acts as small storage space. The Mrs sometimes place small items like hand cream, lip balm here. ID carved out a small niche at the side of our bed, since we do not have space for a side table. Now, here's our mini L-shaped "Walk-in Wardrobe". This is the view when you're about to enter the master bedroom. There are 4 cupboards here. The 3 cupboards on the right are about 30.5cm in width, which is not big enough to fit hangers for our clothes. Hence, we opted for shelves with AA tracks instead. The inner most cupboard (which is bigger than the other 3), is where Mr hangs his clothes. We use one of the shelf as our "vanity area" where we place our perfumes/ jewelleries/ skincare products etc. We don't have a dedicated vanity area mostly because the Mrs doesn't have a huge make-up collection/ complex make-up routine. It consists of 3 items- sunscreen, concealer, lip tint and that's it LOL. Similarly for the Mr, he will gel his hair at our wardrobe area since we have a mirror there. Having a vanity was not a priority as we are used to standing up when we doll ourselves up. Furthermore, our routine does not take too long, so we don't have to sit. Ultimately, it is all based on your habits and lifestyle. 💄🪞🎀 For us, it was more of maximising the space for the Mrs to store her clothes. 👗 The other shelves are used for our home clothes/ bags and other nicknacks. This is the mirror that we use when dolling ourselves up. Alternatively, we also use the mirror in our living room. Where the Mr stores his clothes! Special thanks to the Mr for having a small wardrobe space and giving most of it to the Mrs. 🥺 Another shelf that stores the Mrs skincare products etc. This is the view of our wardrobe when standing at the toilet. On the right would be more wardrobe space that belongs to the Mrs. Clothes are colour coded to make it look neat and tidy, creating a sense of calmness. 😌🤍 Did you know? A closet arranged in a visually appealing way can boost your mood every time you open it. It's also easier to find what you're looking for and coordinate outfits. It also streamlines decluttering because its easier to spot any duplicates. The Mrs also *tries* to go with the one in one out method, where if she buys one piece of clothing, she has to sell another that she rarely uses! This cupboard stores long dresses. Storage boxes are used to occupy the empty spaces below.
