Welcome to my kitchen, designed with warm colors and a simple, practical layout. It's a cozy space where cooking is easy and meals are shared with joy!
This kitchen follows a minimal concept with a warm color tone that creates a cozy atmosphere. We’re particularly fond of the shaker doors for their timeless appeal.
Overall, the total cost for our kitchen renovation came to about $14k
This is the view from inside, where you can see our open-concept kitchen situated close to our dining table!
We used the same vinyl flooring in the kitchen as in the living room to maintain a seamless flow throughout our open-concept space.
I've organized my kitchen with open shelves to showcase my collection of pots and pans, making them easily accessible while adding a touch of culinary charm. Additionally, I've installed a dedicated shelf for my microwave, not only optimizing space but also providing a spot for decorative accents that enhance the kitchen's aesthetic appeal. This thoughtful arrangement not only increases functionality but also adds a personal, stylish flair to the heart of my home.
The drawers are thoughtfully designed with spacious interiors that accommodate a wide variety of items, particularly ideal for storing children's snacks and everyday essentials. With ample space available, everything from snacks to daily necessities finds its place, promoting a neat and functional kitchen environment tailored to our family's needs.
Aligning the oven directly under the stove can help save space and create a more streamlined look in the kitchen. Plus, it can make cooking and baking more convenient since everything is in one central area!
Moving on, right next to the stove, we have our sink. It's a Carysil granite kitchen sink in Terra Beige. This color and material are great because they hide stains, are super easy to clean, and always look beautiful. Plus, they resist scratches and are food-safe
On top of the sink, we've got our dish rack. It's conveniently placed and not too high, just right for our height. Make sure not to put the dish rack too high, otherwise, water can slide down to your hands!
And also, we have an open dish rack that's convenient for the kids to grab their cups and stuff.
Counter top:
Kompac Plus is ofcourse a great choice for countertops! Let me tell you why:
1. Durable: It resists scratches, stains, and impacts.
2. Low Maintenance: Easy to clean with no special cleaners needed.
3. Versatile: Comes in many colors and finishes to match your style.
4. Water Resistant (yes it is! Cos it is not wood!): Keeps moisture at bay, preventing mold.
5. Eco-Friendly: Made from sustainable materials.
As for the backsplash, we use tempered glass, super easy to clean and maintain in a long run (;
We've hidden our washing machine right under here inside the cabinet! We wanted to keep the look of our kitchen seamless and tidy. By tucking it away, we maintain a clean and streamlined appearance, while still having easy access to it when we need to do laundry.
Right next to it, we've designed an extra cabinet. This cabinet isn’t fixed in place, so you can move it around as needed! It’s perfect for putting all our important appliances, like the Thermomix, deep fryer, instant hot water dispenser, and rice cooker. This way, we keep everything organized and accessible without cluttering up the kitchen.
This cabinet also serves a purpose—we store all the plates and bowls here too.
With that, thanks for checking out our post! We hope it’s given you some great ideas for improving your own kitchen!
Till the next one! :)
