We kept it simple for our master bedroom with natural lime wash painted walls, a neutral palette and an easy to maintain fabric bed frame.
It is so important to us that we invest in quality bedsheets and bed mattress to comfortably rest in. Sunday beddings sheets and NOA's mattress have not disappoint us at all & we personally feel that they are brands that are worth every penny!
And of course, we had to have our built-in wardrobe as well!
We did the same type of reeded glass doorframe for our toilet as the one in our common toilet. For this though, it was a slight regret as unlike the common area, the opacity of the glass allowed light to shine through & this can be too bright when either one of us decides to turn in early for the night. Otherwise, we like that the look of the door frames complements with the rest of the room.
Placed a carpet for that warm snuggly feeling on the feet when we step off the bed. Right by the side of the bed stands our wood/rattan bedside tables customised on Taobao with leather handles.
So, the previous images were taken in the first year we moved in. Fast forward to today, this is how our room now looks. We have since added a new curved corner shelf to add on more storage area and our toddler's cot.
The other side of the room is kept simple. We have a temporary bed safety rail to prevent our little one from falling off to the other side. Plus, a head-to-toe mirror which doubles up as a hanger for bags.
Our honeycomb blinds have also been very handy in keeping the room bright while giving us the privacy we need - as it can be brought down from the top to allow natural light to come through.
