Being next to the window, it is well lit, with frosted panes on our lattice windows. We opted for a chandelier for mood lighting. As you can see, the space is relatively still free of furniture as we are waiting to upgrade to a bigger dining table too, as we love hosting.
It is still a work in progress. We had water coloured paintings of leaves in our old place that we took down. Right now we're saving this space for a piece that really speaks to us, and also a piece that can really be a statement since it will be the first thing you see! This room being next to the stairs meant lots of movement and transitioning. So we try to keep space to allow for that comfortably too.
In a way, when the kids grow up, we anticipate lots of hollering up the stairs for mealtimes. 📣
If you're wondering about our baby chair looking a little different from the usual IKEA Antilope, it is because of the amazing leg wraps and footrest!
We used to work around this table in our old place. Coming to this new place have influenced us to find better places to be more productive. Even our elder little one has moved away to find other spaces to do her little drawings! One thing we are still undecided about is the shape of the dining table.
Almost every space in the lower floor is covered by CCTVs for safety reasons. Our children roam around in a relatively safe space but just in case something happens, we will want to be able to trace back. Having the plugs made on the ceilings were meant for this purpose.
Not forgetting, a reminder of our faith at a space that is always within vantage.
